Staycation In Malacca with Gossip Girls !

Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone !

Its been awhile I guess since I can gather my thoughts to write again.

Currently, I just finished my part time work and in the middle of preparing myself for new semester that will begin this 12th October. Due to the current pandemic, my university has decided to let all Faculty of Business students to join ODL or Online Distance Learning. So, I will stay at home until further discussion.

I am excited to learn new subjects this upcoming semester, but I am also nervous because I already going thru it the last time, and what can I say. This ODL is not easy.

No further comment for that. I think I will make a new post about my learning journey in ODL and explain more about that hehe

So, due to the current pandemic, my diploma convocation also gets postpone until we don’t know when. My university had proposed to the students to make a ‘green screen’ convocation that of course get so much critics from the students. I don’t know what to say about that. This COVID-19 has ruined many things.

According to the protocol, all students that will graduate must do clearance at their own campus before the actual convocation. So, I already planned with my groupmate to go together as its been awhile since we last met, and we can reminisce our diploma journey together.

But, again, due to the pandemic, the clearance can be made online, so we don’t have to go to our campus to do it. So, we changed the plan and decided to tour Malacca like our diploma days. Thank you to Maira’s mum, she treat us with an apartment so that we can stay there for 2 Days & 1 Night and Suci’s mum, she rented us a car so it will be easier journey for us! It gives us a comfortable journey as we spent time together.

Like what I said, it is a journey to reminisce our moments during diploma days, so we went to all places that we went before.

On 17th September, we began our journey with Suci’s picked me up from my house and we went to KL Sentral to picked up Maira and Nad. We departed from KL at 11 and arrived Simpang Ampat at 12. Our first place is of course, our favourite Nasi Ayam restaurant located in Terminal Sentral Alor Gajah. Restoran Nasi Ayam Nadia is a famous place among UiTM Lendu students as it located in a strategic place. Students who buy the ticket bus will surely get their lunch there! It serves the best chicken rice. It is our ritual for every new semester to eat there together. It surely brings the memories back.

Next, we also went to eat Cendol at Dataran Keris near the Terminal Alor Gajah. It is a small hawker style that sells a delicious variety of Cendol. People surely miss a gem if they don’t try this Cendol.

After that, we continue our sweet and icy journey to eat Patbingsu at Ice Bing. This is our top favourite spot to eat during diploma. Cheng is a real heaven for students at that time as there are many places to go and eat. We really went there often during our diploma years. Next, we went to get our famous Coconut Shake Batu Berendam and directly went to our apartment at Atlantis Residence near Klebang Beach. After rest for about one hour, we went back to the famous Bandar Hilir to get some pictures and went to Klebang Beach in the evening. At night, we went to get our dinner at Ikan Bakar Parasmewara. Spoiler: I don’t recommend eating at Ikan Bakar Paramewara. We need to wait for quite a long time, and they don’t serve great food at all. I don’t know why there are so many customers at that time and the foods are so expensive. I am okay to pay expensive foods if they are delicious and satisfying, but it seriously makes our jaw drops with their food quality that doesn’t match their price. Lesson learnt!

After that, finally, we get some rest at night while watching a movie. It is seriously a leisure night because we were so tired after went to so many places in the morning. We fell asleep at 1 am because everyone was too tired to speak haha

We begin our morning early and everyone already fully recharge at 7 a.m. After all the giggling and some funny stories, we get our breakfast at a Warung Robiah near our place. Warung Robiah is not a restaurant but it serves like ‘medan selera’. There are variety of foods such as Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Briyani, Soups, Kuih and many other things. I eat a lot of things as the price are quite cheap and it were so delicious. I am so satisfied with my breakfast that I decided to get a takeout to eat at our apartment.

Before going back to our apartment, as it still early, we decided to go back to the beach. There are so many people when we went there during the yesterday evening, so this time because it still early (We went there at 9 a.m lol) so we get to enjoy the beach and take some pictures together!

We went back to our apartment to wash up and getting ready for checkout at 12 p.m. After that, we went to get our lunch at McD and continue our journey home at 3 p.m. We decided to go back early to avoid traffic jam during peak hour as it was Friday but still, we got stuck and I arrived at 6:30 p.m

This is truly just a journey just to spent time and catch up with each other. After we graduate from diploma, my groupmate also went their separate ways. Except Suci and Ikmal, as both still at UiTM Puncak Alam just different courses, Maira in UiTM Dungun and Nad will be in UM this October. She applied for MEXT scholarship to further study in Japan next year, so we pray that she will get the scholarship and go for her dreams. We promised that we will visit her in Japan if she gets the scholarship!

The short 2 Days 1 Night journey has ended. It is a memorable journey for us and eventho it is a short time, but to spend time with each other at places that we are so familiar with, certainly bring back all the memories.

Thank you for the sweet memories. Good luck in our new journey and hope that you guys will be in better place.

Let’s meet again!

A Day Trip to Malacca!

Assalamualaikum.
My semester break for sem 3 finally begun. Finally, its my final year in Malacca. There are so much things that I want to try, to go, to taste and to run all over the place.
One of them is I really want to tour around the city of Malacca with my friends. Finally ! Wish come true.
A sudden plan but it is truly a satisfying moments. Lets go through this memento together...

With this two girl, we tour around the city. FYI, we walked.

The night view ate the riverside. It is so majestic and beautiful. We does not regret staying there until night just to ride the cruise! We end up arrived at our college at almost 11p.m

At A Famosa building. To go this place, we need to hike a little bit because it is on top. It was raining that day so it is so much harder to climb up there. But, it is once in a lifetime. We need to...

On top of  Muzium Samudera, Melaka. I think this is one of the famous place in the city. All the history ships was in there. With the price of RM5, we can go to 2 museums. It is so amazing and a whole new world for me. I really love museum but sometimes I need to drag my friends to go there...

It was rain heavily after that so we came to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade to stay in there for awhile. Both of this is opposite of each other. It is just an ordinary mall like we all used to go.

The sun start to shined back. Here one picture with the trishaw as a background. We called it 'Beca' here!

With the museum buildings as the background ~

We got to taste a delicious 'Cendol' and 'Ais Batu Kacang or ABC' we called here. It was so delicious and located at the front of St Cathedral. Or Jam Besar I guess... I dont remember. But, what I know is it is so delicious and worth it.

Jonker Walk. We just stayed there for awhile and then because there are so many people...

Walking along the riverside.

We dont get to ride Menara Taming Sari so it will be next time. As usual, there are so many people even at night. The view must be beautiful up there.

Night view of the city...

Christ Church, Malacca.

Finally, we get to ride the rivercruise. We was so excited for this so we decided to ride it at night. The scenery is more beautiful with all the lights. It takes 30 to 45 min for this river cruise trip.

It was a happy ending.

But still, we want to go there once again. There are some things that we doesnt have time to do at that time, plus the bad weather and tight budget as we are student. But still, it is a happy memories..

Thank you, till next time.
